PGP and other key Information
I am able to use PGP / GPG encryption when sending and receiving emails and other communications. If you wish to send me information securely, please use encryption - email is not secure!!
It is worth noting that Lawful Business Practice regulations mean that it is acceptable for many companies to monitor communications passing over their networks for various reasons - and many do. It is therefore not reasonable to assume that people cannot or will not read emails in transit.
Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000
At the time of writing, 21st May 2006, I have had no requests for any decryption keys, as provided for under the RIP Act 2000, made by any person or authority.
Key information
I currently use GPG for file and email encryption, and both the gaim-encryption and OTR plugins for encryption of instant messaging conversations. Please feel free to use them when talking to me.
